Civic Engagement in Local Government Workshop Series

REGISTER TODAY FOR A FREE CIVIC ENGAGEMENT WORKSHOP SERIES!

Are you interested in learning more about how county government works and how you can get involved? Contra Costa County’s Office of Racial Equity and Social Justice is hosting a series of 3 workshops to prepare residents to engage in county government processes, including how to attend public meetings and offer public comment, how to serve on boards or commissions, and how to network and stay informed.

All workshops will be held from 9am-12pm on Wednesdays in March, in person, in Martinez.

March 4: How Contra Costa County Government Works – Understanding the Board of Supervisors, county structure, and where to go to share concerns

March 11: How to Participate in County Decision-Making – Understanding public meetings, committees/advisory bodies, and how to offer public comment

March 18: How to Access County Services and Get Involved – Understanding available resources, civic engagement opportunities, and how to stay informed
